I stopped buying season pass after I am close to 5M gold limit.
There is no other way to spend gold faster enough to prevent it from reaching the limit, all cards are 14 and buying merchant shop daily.
Hope there is an option to exchange for elite card more frequently to spend the extra gold.
Otherwise, really no reason to spend any money for this game.
