How a flexible view of evolution cycle may benefit Supercell in the future

Nowadays, the common view toward evolution cycle is that the heavy card needs one card cycle, while the cheap one must cycle 2 times. That approach is nothing wrong in theory; however, in practice, there are some specific cases that need a more flexible solution. Let’s examine the issue through this description about this turret.
“A building evolution, when deployed, destroys every swarm unit in its active radius.”
Some people may think this is a description of a Tesla evolution when it is at the peak of the meta. Others think this description is about the current state of canon evolution. That is true for both cases, so what is the deal here? The problem here is that they seem to be a slightly different version of another, and that has a negative effect on balance changing. Let’s imagine that Supercell releases two versions of orange juice, and when balancing them out, they change the flavor of one orange juice, which makes that thing become a better version of the other. The result is that people will dump out the old orange juice to get to a new, exciting, better version. That will create a huge usage gap between the 2 products. A dilemma here is that Supercell cannot change a card without the cost for another of its versions. When seeing the meta dump out ev Tesla and replace it with ev Cannon, some people interpret it as Supercell intentionally manipulating the meta so that they drive out the old card and replaces it with a newly released card. It may be partly true, but I think that problem mainly stems from technical issues. So what is the solution? If Supercell cannot completely change the nature of the evolution (canon and tesla) to make it uniquely separate from the others , at least they can impact the power scaling of the evolution by changing its cycle. Presumably, somehow Supercell can make a Tesla 1 cycle evolution balance (maybe by reduce its wave damage). It’s like turning it into an apple juice, and now we have both apple juice and orange juice. People with different tastes and different strategies may prefer a different option between Tesla and Canon. Heavy decks may prefer a 1-cycle tesla evolution for solid defense. Fast cycle decks with already solid defense may want to have more utility from the cannon evolution. Of course this is just my purely speculative solution; maybe it is impossible to turn water into wine, it is god’s work to turn orange juice into apple juice, and the 1 Tesla cycle evolution is impossible!! but the issue still be there and I really hope that in the future, with more and more incoming evolution, Supercell has take the lesson seriously.
