My clan accidentally turned on family friendly filter. We’ve literally spent thousands of dollars and years building this clan. Now my clan can’t speak anymore. When I contact support I just get recycled through bots over and over and no one is a real person. Why would they add a feature that no one can take off even with support. If it was really for protection it would be defaulted on & then contact support to take it off. This makes zero sense and support in this company is a joke. It’s the same responses from bots over and over.
As the clan settings describe, this setting is permanent. You cannot turn it off by contacting support.
I believe the reason for this setting, is that if an underage player joins a family-friendly clan, the clan is guaranteed to remain as so forever. Otherwise minors could be involuntarily introduced into a hostile environment.
I understand that but if that underage member were to leave… the clan is permanently stuck like that. Also it does NOT say that it can’t be removed with the help of support. In that case support should be able to verify the ages of the players and remove the family friendly feature. This is poorly thought out.
Further, wouldn’t it make sense that underage people are ONLY allowed to join a family friendly clan. They went through and asked all players for their ages, what’s the point if they aren’t using that information for this. The entire point is to protect children while still keeping the integrity of the game. This does not make sense. Again so many better options.
Not sure, we don’t have the details either. I can just say that this isn’t lack of support, but rather something that many clans have faced since this feature was added.
For all we know, it may have been their only available option to comply with legal regulations.
