In the chest cycle info one can see the next 10 chests, and also where the next giant, magical, epic, legendary and mega lightning chests are (beyond the first 10).
Since the overflowing gold crate is a 12 hour unlock chest (thus comparable to gian or magical) I think it would be good to always be aware of when the next one will drop (it really helps timing the chest boosts).
